Next generation Automation

Changing consumer demands are driving the evolution of packaging industry. Today, packaging machines need to handle smaller batches and help increase throughput, reduce downtimes. These machines are expected to be extremely flexible and fully automated. Therefore next generation automation will only help us to hide the complexity and provide better diagnostics with ease of operation.

B&R has introduced new technologies like web based diagnostics, new HMI concepts and IoT enabled controls which can bring enormous benefits to the machine builders and users alike.

Automation Industry Association (AIA) is associated as the Knowledge Partner for the prestigious India Manufacturing Show (IMS) 2017.

The IMS 2017 is being held from 30th October, till 1st November 2017 at BIEC, Bangalore. The Show is being organized under the aegis of Laghu Udyog Bharati – Karnataka, servicing SMEs from Bangalore, Hosur and nearby states. SME manufacturers and machine builders are expected to participate in the Show.

AIA is setting up a Smart Manufacturing Zone and is showcasing integration benefits of the latest technologies from selected AIA members supporting the Smart Manufacturing initiative of Government of India - AIA - IIT Delhi. Please visit us at Stall Number D- 565 at Lower Level, Hall 2, to meet this team and explore future engagements.

On day II, i.e. October 31, 2017; there is a session in the Conference on Industry 4.0 - SMART Manufacturing with Technology, with a special focus on Automation and Robotics, IIOT and Virtual Reality. This session will be conducted by AIA.

The CEFC is envisaged as a multi-utility center. It comprises a set of smart machinery that is interconnected to represent a miniature, but feature-rich production system. The facility supports Demonstration, Skilling, Prototyping and Integrated Solutions Facility for Smart Technology Enabled Manufacturing.

The following technologies are included at the CEFC - Cyber-Physical Systems, Collaborative Robots, Industry 4.0 Compliant Sensors, Actuators & Controllers, Rapid Prototyping & Tooling, Augmented Reality, Advance Simulation and Digital Twin, Analytics, Remote Maintenance, Wireless Instrumentation, Industrial Safety and Cyber Security.
